We've put together a fantastic seminar program over the two days with two theatres bursting with top running topics.  The following is the provisional list so please check back before heading to the show in case of any changes...

2:00pm Phoebe Thomas (Sunday) Q&A with Phoebe Thomas
Phoebe is probably best known as Holby City’s nurse Maria Kendal and the actress who bared all in the film Lady Godiva. The real Phoebe Thomas is a Level 2 coach and loves to run, coach and advise runners entering the sport and wanting to improve. Phoebe found running 6 years ago when entering and training for her first Cancer Research UK 5k.Whether you want to improve your times over 5k to marathon and better your weekly training, or run/walk your first ever 5k with friends, this Q & A will cover how to achieve these goals.

This talk will provide a comprehensive view on the effect of different types of music on running motivation and performance.  Throughout session, members of the audience will be invited to come and try running to different types of music on a treadmill.

Mark will present the latest research along with video analysis of runners showing when orthotics should be used along with latest evidence on how they work. We will also discuss why in some cases orthotics do not work and what should be done. There will be ample opportunity to ask questions during the session.

Witness the transformation of a runner firsthand with Lee Saxby, the “worlds best barefoot running coach” as described by Chris McDougall, author of Born to Run. Using a running machine, video analysis, and member of the public to demonstrate, Saxby will give expert guidance on safe transition from typical  "heel-toe shod jogging" to forefoot-barefoot running. Discover how barefoot running can improve performance, prevent injury, and unlock the pleasure of running.

Running Technique, Biomechanics & Injury Prevention
We all have a personal Running Style, but do you know if your personal running style is due to different compensation issues or do you run that way because of your physical characteristics? If you are looking to become a more efficient and faster runner then you have to prevent or reduce your incidence of injury. Mike will explain how you can achieve optimal movement efficiency , control and mobility and  the reasons why runners get injured. Mike will be selecting members of the audience to analyse their Running Biomechanics.

2:00pm The experts from Physio4Life Running Injury Q+A Session
Seminar to discuss running injuries and how they can be prevented or resolved. Issues such as ITB syndrome, Achilles tendonitis, shin splints, plantar fasciitis will be discussed with some practical tips on how to prevent them. The seminar will help answer your questions but we will also present some new ideas on conditioning, balance and orthotics.
2:45pm Laura Denham-Jones
Runner and yoga practitioner for over 25 years and has completed 7 marathons.  Contributor to Runner’s World magazine.

Yoga for Runners
In this seminar Laura will discuss the history and philosophies of yoga, highlighting the mental and physical benefits of yoga for runners. Laura will discuss the mechanics and side effects of running, and explain how yoga can supplement and complement running action, help prevent and heal injuries and improve performance by creating strength where you need it and releasing tension where you don’t.
